Tongue Power

The other night, during family devotions, we discussed the unbridled and bridled tongue; its power to please God and bless others or the power to curse God and dishonor others.

Your tongue is just that, yours. My tongue, you guessed it, mine. Friends, we have a choice. The question is, we will be doers of the Word and not hearers only…deceiving ourselves (James 1:22)?

Allow me to repeat the verse we read:

“If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain” James 1:26.
