Eternity

 

Eternity is reality. We will all face death at some point in our life. The question is are we ready to face that point in time?

Just as we live and breathe in this very moment, our eternal state has an eternal forever. Do you know where your eternal state will exist? We have but two choices.

According to 2 Corinthians 6:2, “…at the acceptabletime I listened to you, and on the day of salvation I helped you. Behold, now is the acceptable time, ” behold, now is the day of salvation.” We do not know the hour or the day we wll take our final breath. We do not know if we have the rest of today or tomorrow. Today is the day of salvation. Putting off todya could mean the difference between hell and heaven.  

Some people say, “if God is so loving, why would He allow bad things to happen to good people?” Let me ask you this question, “Why is God blamed blamed? If God doesn’t exist and eternity is just a fairy tale, why blame Him?” Sinentered into the world throuhg one man, Adam, and through Adam all have sinned, but God didn’t leave it there. 

Love has one source, one author, God. God’s love is repeated over and over again throughout the pages of Scripture, the Bible, God’s love letter (proof) to mankind. The ultimate demonstration of love is when God sent His only Son, Jesus, to earth. There are millions of ways God could have saved the world, but He choose a cross. 

His death on the Cross wasn’t without purpose — the purpose was you! On that cross He took the full payment for our sin (our debt), but He did not stay on that cross. Three days later He rose again, lives, and is preparing a mansion for each and every one who believes in Him.

Satan will never do anything like the love of Jesus Christ did for you. His M.O. is self. In fact, the devil is seeking for the next person to destroy or devour. 1 Peter 5:8 says, “Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” Satan (the devil) has never been nor will ever be your friend.
