Tender Beings

We are all tender beings. This includes our husbands regardless of how strong they are. This is not a weakness but rather wisdom-strength within us to be able to realize that our husband is a human being just like we are…even though we see them as our “superman” (which, by the way he loves). 😉

As a wife we have such a great God-given honor to be given the opportunity to be our husband’s upholder. His number one cheerleader, his supporter yet we must never think we can replace God or his relationship with God with ourself.

Part of our God-given assignment as wife is to love our husband with the care and gentleness that only comes through one source within us, that source is Jesus Christ. This can only mean ladies, we ourselves must be in the Word of God keeping our mind, eyes, heart, our soul aligned with Him (Christ) alone. Our own strength and ability will not help our husbands but rather harm them. We must depend on Jesus for help.

Remember we always go back to “what we know” and if that “know” isn’t grounded in Christ we are done for…and our husband will be affected by our lack.

  • Do you want to sow seeds in your marriage?
  • Do you want to set an example within your home?
  • Do you want to experience an awesome marriage through Christ?

Then we have some decisions to make.

  1. I choose be in the Word of God (Bible) daily and if that means several times a day, I will!
  2. I choose to apply the Word of God to my life personally, because I know that God loves and cares for me.
  3. I choose to obey the Word of God even if I do not fully understand Him/His Word, because I trust and acknowledge that God is God and I am not! (Isn’t it wonderful to know that He is capable, all-mighty, all-knowing, and all-powerful! What a God we serve!)
  4. I choose to pray for my husband daily; not to “change” him into what I think he should be or do, but for his walk with God to be real and strong, for his needs, etc.
  5. I choose to pray for myself, because I know that in myself I cannot love my husband properly, but I desire to in and through Christ.
  6. I choose to trust my Heavenly Father because He knows what He is doing.

Love is a choice. Choose to love “YOUR” honey up…this means even when you don’t want too or think we have a better way; we all know our flesh thinks so. Ladies, I am in no way saying to sin for your husband or be sinned upon. If it is not sin, communicate with each other, do, and surprise him by your Christ-love! Watch, you might just be surprised in return!

Charity (love) suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;” [1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:4‭-‬6‬].

In Christ I am SHE [Saved. Hopeful. Empowered.]
