Colleen Woodruff: In Christ I am SHE

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer Psalm 19:14.

Because I Have Now…

Because I have now…my lips will praise You; because I am not promised the next.

“Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name. My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips: When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches” Psalm 63:3-6.

Hope you have a Christcentered day,

In Christ I am SHE {Saved. Hopeful. Empowered.}

My Prayer for You…

In God We Trust

May America bless God, then may God bless America.

Here is a link to In My Seat ( ) a pilots story from September 10th & 11th, 2001, on how he should have been flying one of those jets that crashed into the World Trade Centers. His story is amazing! God has a plan and he is telling his story. It is worth your time to watch. I share his story every 9-11.

Thanks to YOU!

Tonight I received a notice from WordPress proclaiming a congratulations over 50+ WordPress followers…a grand total 51.

I sit here just in goosebumps over God’s goodness. Not because I am something special, that I write grand blogs, or even deserve the Lord’s blessings in blogging, but I do rejoice in His leading, His direction, His words, and His blessing tonight! Thank you LORD!

Thank YOU!! To all those who read, follow and comment on In Christ I am SHE. The Lord has used you in my life to fill my soul with blessings –more than you will ever know. Though we have never met, you bless my soul! Thank you friends!!

I think of the little tricycle that sits in our garage. Oh how those little ones peddle and peddle and peddle their little legs off and usually don’t go very fast –but oh how they love every minute of it. It is fun. As a parent you hear, “Watch me Mom” and you smile then cheer them on to do it again. It is a challenge. It is a new adventure.

I too, image myself on that tricycle called life, called blogging, called mothering, called wife, called a daughter of the King.

  • May I never forget that my Daddy (Abba Father) is watching me.
  • His cheers are for me.
  • His goals are for my best good and to never stop pedaling forward for Christ. Reaching new levels of challenges and God-adventures are just that…God adventures!
  • And because God has a sense of humor –may I never forget to have fun, laugh, enjoy, and work hard to reach my final destination…glory. One peddle at a time.

The same is true for you, my friends. One peddle at a time.

Keep the faith…

Keep blogging for Christ!

If you are a soldier (past or present) or someone who is just dealing with some trials in their life, below is a link to a message on Psalm 91–often called “The Soldier’s Psalm.” May it be an encouragement to your soul. Look to Jesus…Look, Look, Look!

joyfulness this first of november

I hope this doesn’t sound trite or lame because it is not meant to be in any way, just joyfulness from my heart.

Today I would just like to proclaim thanksgiving to God and gratitude to you; for the start of November marks almost a full year of blogging.

Over this “almost past year,” I have meet so many wonderful folks (you), read incredible articles from the soul that have both challenged and blessed mine in the process. I have been inspired by you.

It has been great, my writing skills have been tested, and the Lord has used “blogging” to restore my hurting heart and help heal my soul. I have been comforted and refreshed by the tenderness of soul and spirit, and experienced the focus and love for God displayed through your blogs…oh, how this has blessed me! Thank you! Thank you!!! Keep writing. Don’t give up. YOU are a blessing!!!

Thank you Lord for this “almost past year” of blogging. It has been a complete joy and honor to share YOU and your wonderous working power. May you give many more years to proclaim YOU!!!

Your servant,

In Christ I am SHE {Saved. Hopeful. Empowered.}

Thank you all!!!

Questions from my nominee (to me):

  1. If you were stranded on an island what three things would you take and why?

I would take my leather bond Bible, the biggest journal I could find (because if we were stranded there would be no possibilities to buy another journal—and I would have to write VERY small), and my family.

  1. What was your most challenging moment in blogging?

Really, just getting started. So often (myself included) we think “it” has to be “perfect” before we can do or start our “it.” My husband is my biggest fan and has been my biggest fan to start a blog, along with another girlfriend. They kept letting me, “just do it!” So, the journey began not quite a year ago, not out of selfish ambition, but out of deep longing soul desire to share Christ, His Word, and womanhood with others. My prayer along this journey is to give Christ encouragement, share Him, be a blessing to others, and challenge us in our walk with Christ.

  1. What do you do in your spare time?

Write—I love to journal, play piano & sing, spend time with my family, blog and help others, create crafty things—though I must say I haven’t done much of that lately, but I love being creative.

  1. Where would you like to be in blogging five years from now?

Oh wow—to God’s glory and with His help, I would love to see In Christ I am SHE turned into (along with blogging) Sunday School material for women or young teen girls/young adults and/or in the form of a Bible Study format. I would also love to grow personally in the blogging world—I am pretty new to this whole thing, but desire to grow in my understanding of how it all works. My time is limited, so structure and scheduling is something that I really do need to work on!

  1. If you could travel anywhere in the world where would it be and why?

Ummm……I think it would be Europe or Italy. I don’t count the Turkish airport…lol; though I would truly love to go to Israel once again—that was such a life-changing trip!

  1. What is your favorite scripture?

Matthew 6:33; Psalm 19:14; Jeremiah 33:3; Psalm 27:13-14.

  1. What is your favorite season? (Spring, summer, fall, winter)

Summer, Spring, Fall…I love snow for Christmas 😉

  1. One random thing about you.

I lived in the Philippines for a year.

Congratulations to ALL nominated for a free blog award (see above list)!!!! Please accept this as a compliment and encouragement to YOU and your blog. There are no requirements required on your end, but please know that I appreciate your blog. If you choose to follow the suggested rules (given above) please feel free to nominate others to encourage them!

Thank you once again . Truly my heart is overwhelmed and humbled by your thoughtfulness and nomination of In Christ I am SHE {Saved. Hopeful. Empowered.} To God be the GLORY—great things HE has done!
