Enduring Fruit: Rooted in Christ
Your heart is your point of connection with Jesus— the place where you become rooted in your relationship with Him. Where Jesus wants to develop His heart-to-heart connection with you to the point where you become fully united with Him; where you think like He thinks, want what He wants, speak like He speaks, and do what he does.
This is what it means to remain in Him.
It is only when you remain in Him will you produce fruit that lasts.
For you to bear abundant, enduring fruit, God needs to make you bigger on the inside than you are on the outside. You have to let Him build your root system in secret before He leads you into making a visible impact in the world.
E.M. Bounds said, “The man— God’s Man {or woman} is made in the closet.” His life and his profoundest convictions are born in his secret communion with God— {ie: solitude prayer}.
John 15:16 says,
“You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and
I have appointed and purposefully planted you, so that you
would go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that
your fruit will remain and be lasting, so that whatever you ask
of the Father in My name [as My representative]
He may give to you.”
Friends, how is your secret God-time going?
Matthew 6:6 says, “…when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when those hast shut thy door, pray to they Father which is in secret; and they Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.”
Keyword here is WHEN! That ‘when’ is up to you.
Any relationship takes work. They take time, thought, energy, forgiveness, lack of self, and this daily thing we call ‘communication’ to flourish. Doesn’t it? Without it your relationship would suffer drastically, would it?
My friend, there is absolutely no difference in our relationship with our heavenly Father. If we choose not to ‘communicate’ with God, what will happen in our relationship with Him? You know the answer!
- Be careful if you say ‘ I love God’ but your actions display another love.
- Be aware, you can change that action!
- So, get into that closet of yours!
- Commune with your God.
- Allow God to make you bigger on the inside so that you can be usable on the outside for Him.
- Fear not, my friend.
- Allowing your roots to sink deeper into the source of life itself, God, will bring His wondering working power in you! You cannot get any better than that!
Blessings to you sweet friends,
In Christ I am SHE {Saved. Hopeful. Empowered.}
