All to often we blame.
- We blame others.
- We blame God.
All to less we blame ourselves for it is easier to pass the accountability upon another thus freeing us of any responsibility.
- It is time to look in the mirror and come clean with God, self, and others.
- Let today be that day.
- God is longing for you!
James 1:23 “For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:”
Matthew 7:3-5 “And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye. Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.“
Do hurts happen?
Are there real hurts that occur? Sadly yes, even within the church walls, which should never be.
- The reality check of it all is this, we live in a fallen world and fallen people sin.
- There is another reality check, this never gives us an excuse to disobey God and His Word, to blame others or situations, or blame God. We are responsible before God. We will be held accountable.
- People do things –in Christ we are capable of wonderful, loving, kind, selfless acts, but without Him we are capable of selfish, horrible wrong doings that scar and hurt others. That’s why we need God –God first above all else. He is the answer!
- God didn’t do those things to you, people did. For that I am so, so sorry you have gone through those things, but there is a soul-vital reality we all must keep true; we must perserve a keen prespective of who people are and who God is. God is not man. He is continually unchanging in who He is, therefore steadfast, secure, and always abounding in love and mercy –and yes, is just. God is God, thus we do well to see Him as such and not put Him into our manmade box.
- God is love. God is kind, compassionate, full of mercy and forgiveness; He is holy and pure. God loves you, don’t ever forget that. God has never given up on you –don’t give up on Him!
So stop the blame game. Get things right between you and God. Get things right between you and that person and thrive in Christ! You will never regret it!
