Have you ever taken a broader look at your “to do list”? Oh, I have them too. Many times they keep me focused in what I should be doing even when I don’t want to do it…come on, be honest, you know what I am talking about! A Pastor friend of ours once said, many years ago, “If you haven’t done something you don’t like in a day, you haven’t accomplished anything.” I have never forgotten that one.
But there is a danger in creating our “to do lists.” Do you know what that would be? Self! Yeppers! We get in the way. We take control and leave out the One who should be in control of our lives.
- So, next time you sit down to create your “to do list” consider Christ first.
- Pray.
- Ask Him what He would require of you first then write down the dishes, laundry, grocery shopping, drop off meal to Suzie as the Lord leads.
- You may be surprised how well your day goes when you put HIM first.
I have never seen Matthew 6:33 go wrong! Have you?
Have a blessed day in Christ!
In Christ I am SHE {Saved. Hopeful. Empowered.}
