- It was for this freedom that Christ set us free [completely liberating us]; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery [which you once removed] (Galatians 5:1).
- Do not call to mind the former things, or ponder things of the past. Behold, I will do something new, now it will spring forth; will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, rivers in the desert (Isaiah 43:18-19).
-
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? (1 John 5:4-5).
There are so many more verses we could look at today. There are probably some floating around in your mind and heart as well right now too. Feast on them!
Take time today to mediate on what you have in Christ, because of Christ.
Look these passages up, Google “deliverance, obedience, freedom in Christ” (to start with) and jot down verses that catch your attention…then go back through with your Bible, reread, highlight, circle, doodle…whatever you need to do to grow in Christ! Journal down what God is opening your heart and eyes too about Himself and His Word.
- If you are having a difficult time — meaning there isn’t anything spiritually coming, don’t stop, but stop. Do this: Take the time to just mediate (think about) and reread the verse(s) and pray. Create a Post-It note or 3×5 card with your choice verse(s) on them, place them in areas you know you will see them regularly, then ask the Lord to open your heart and mind to see Him clearly, to understand Him, to know Him, to help you understand His Word. You ask…He will show (Jer. 33:3, Matt. 6:33, Matt. 7:7-14). Don’t grow frustrated. God will reveal Himself to those who seek Him. It is not a mind game! God wants you to know Him and His will.
- Enjoy your relationship with God today!
- Enjoy God’s Word today!
- Enjoy obeying God today!
- Enjoy the freedom in obedience to Christ today!
