It’s Been a Good Day.

Have you ever come to the end of your day and say to yourself, “It’s. Been. A. Good. Day.”

It doesn’t mean your day was free of trials, or lacked testing, what it does mean –the presence of God was presently working in your life and you can testify to it. Throughout the day you saw God, you experienced God, you saw His working hand in your life turning your sinful heart into His masterpiece. You may even asked for forgiveness, confessed a fault, or gave thanks…but the evidence was clear. God had spoken and you heard.

I wish I had more days like this, but sadly, I get in the way. I worry. I fret. I pout. I plan. I….

My flesh demands attention. I become consumed or derailed by people, situations, and even myself that honestly, it sucks me dry. I find myself weary, discouraged, and fulfilling nothing for the kingdom of God.

This is not of God!

If it is not of God, there is only one other option —  it comes from the pit of hell. The devil glories on days when believers choose failure over victory. A defeated Christian is the devil’s masterpiece; his work flourishes while God’s derails.

God’s purpose is victorious. I forget I have already won the battle. Who am I to place myself defeated in Christ’s victory? Who am I to degrade a temple of the Holy Spirit — whether myself or another believer? Who am I to think I am greater than my Master?

Beware of tainted eyesight.

God is always present, lest I forget.

Today’s been good.

Practicing the presence of God in life changes you. When we seek first after God (the things of His kingdom) and His rightness…that’s when you catch yourself saying, “It’s. Been. A. Good. Day.” (Matthew 6:33).

In Christ I am SHE {Saved. Hopeful. Empowered.}
