It Wasn’t Brute Force, but Love…

I would like to share with you my Pastor. This is a quote spoken and written by him; his heartbeat from this past Sunday mornings message — one I need to take more time to stop and ponder over.

When I consider the angel’s message to the shepherds, “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:11) I am humbled with awe that our Savior brought our greatest need for deliverance through love and humility. His triumph at the cross was not with brute force but His lovewhat a Savior we have.

May we know Christ through Himself!

“I will be found” saith the Lord.

We could talk about the various reasons why this passage would be offensive or encouraging to someone, but we are not traveling down that road today.

We are going to focus on the passage…on God and not ourselves.

There is great release, triumphant victory through God’s power and righteousness. He is God alone! None shall over take Him, command Him, defeat Him or become Him. God is God. Yet even in His awesomeness, grandness, vast greatness and power, God desires to have a personal and intimate relationship with mankind…with you!

  • But, mankind has to ask Him.
  • You have to personally ask Him!
  • You have to personally seek Him!

It may sound hard, but in reality it isn’t because the Lord said, “I will be found” the hardest part is getting past ourselves.

First, we must realize it is our sin that separates us from God, not God’s lack of love for mankind…not God’s lack of love for you. He demonstrated that love while we were yet sinners. If you have more questions on this, please read, it will help.

It is free, but our innermost being (our soul; who we really are) must desire Him more than ourself, more than our own sin. When this begins to sprout are ability to seek, ask, call begins to happen. It is a process, remember it won’t happen overnight, but guaranteed, you will find Him! God never plays shell games with us. What He says in His Word, who His character is — He cannot violate Himself (His Word); He always the same yesterday, today, and forever. God is God!

Second, God is in the business of answering. He deeply desires a deep, intimate, one-on-one, personal relationship with each human being…that includes you!

Because of His great love for you and I, we become especially reminded this season, but God is not bound by seasons or holidays.

  • How’s your God & man process going?
  • Is it dead? Nothing happening?
  • Is it suffering? Or do you only go to Him when you need or want something?
  • Is it alive? Is it in a process of striving to seek and search, call and hear? The process of calling, going, following, becoming, obeying (submission), walking with the One and true God, Jesus Christ our Lord, is beyond anything this world could offer us…now or in own eternal state.

Where you are today, God hasn’t change. He is waiting for you! The choice is yours.

Merry Christ-filled Christmas

From our hearts to yours, we pray that this day, December 25th, and the upcoming celebrations to follow with family and friends, would be centered around thee fulfillment — Jesus Christ Himself. For without Him we wouldn’t be celebrating.

  • To those who are struggling this season especially due to loss, our hearts break for you. Please know that someone is taking you before the Throne of Grace; you are in our prayers.
  • In the achings deep within the heart.
  • In the brokenness that seems unbearable.
  • In the silence of your soul that doesn’t know how, why, where, when, if.
  • Even in your deepest cavern, may you find that God is with you, Emmanuel, and that you find fulfilment in Christ that reaches beyond what you know of Christ.
  • He too is touched by our grief, our sorrow, for He — like us, knows death. He too, also knows the victory that proceeds death. “Oh death where is the string? We are more than conquerors through Him…who loves us so!”

The prophet Isaiah’s eyes must have experienced the wonders of all wonders. A beyond glorious sights to behold…then to write about. Can you hear Isaiah say with bowed heart and body, “Who am I!” Oh to know, to see Israel’s destruction must have inflicted deep sorrow in the heart of God, yet He tells Isaiah of that Light, Jesus Christ, who is to come — who will come!

  • God’s ultimate gracious love gift, Jesus Christ comes to fulfill His Father’s master plan of redemption, love, graciousness, compassion, and salvation to all mankind…no wonder Isaiah said, “Woe is me, for I am a man undone!” in chapter six verse five.

So even in the midst of our deepest darkness, there is Light…that Light is Jesus Christ our Lord! We are hopeful because of Christ.
This Christmas, whatever circumstances surround you, know this, God is with us, Emmanuel, and that Light is with us!

Merry Christ-filled Christmas!
