We could talk about the various reasons why this passage would be offensive or encouraging to someone, but we are not traveling down that road today.
We are going to focus on the passage…on God and not ourselves.
There is great release, triumphant victory through God’s power and righteousness. He is God alone! None shall over take Him, command Him, defeat Him or become Him. God is God. Yet even in His awesomeness, grandness, vast greatness and power, God desires to have a personal and intimate relationship with mankind…with you!
- But, mankind has to ask Him.
- You have to personally ask Him!
- You have to personally seek Him!
It may sound hard, but in reality it isn’t because the Lord said, “I will be found” the hardest part is getting past ourselves.

It is free, but our innermost being (our soul; who we really are) must desire Him more than ourself, more than our own sin. When this begins to sprout are ability to seek, ask, call begins to happen. It is a process, remember it won’t happen overnight, but guaranteed, you will find Him! God never plays shell games with us. What He says in His Word, who His character is — He cannot violate Himself (His Word); He always the same yesterday, today, and forever. God is God!
Second, God is in the business of answering. He deeply desires a deep, intimate, one-on-one, personal relationship with each human being…that includes you!
Because of His great love for you and I, we become especially reminded this season, but God is not bound by seasons or holidays.
- How’s your God & man process going?
- Is it dead? Nothing happening?
- Is it suffering? Or do you only go to Him when you need or want something?
- Is it alive? Is it in a process of striving to seek and search, call and hear? The process of calling, going, following, becoming, obeying (submission), walking with the One and true God, Jesus Christ our Lord, is beyond anything this world could offer us…now or in own eternal state.
Where you are today, God hasn’t change. He is waiting for you! The choice is yours.
