- If I were to gather you all in a room, then ask you this question, “Does Scripture tell us we ought to walk by faith and not by sight?” I would most likely hear a hearty Amen! To some degree we, those who believe in Jesus Christ, walk accordingly to 2 Corinthians to some extent.
- But I would also submit to our little gathering tis statement, “It is easier to follow or walk by faith when that road is easy on our end.” Once again I submit to you, this time, our responses would be a bit slowly to react due to the fact of our flesh and spirit colliding against one another and our intense reality check inwardly and outwardly.
When your faith is tested, how do you walk?
- Is your walk the same or different? Do you see spiritual growth?
- What does your sight see when testing services arise? Does your vision change? Do you see the waves? Do you see, believe, trust, and cling to your Anchor?
- When your faith is tested, Is God still faithful? Is He still true? Or does God change?
I don’t know what you are going through today, but God does. This I do know, God is the same yesterday, TODAY, and forever (Heb. 13:8). Ecclesiastes 3:11 says God makes everything beautiful in His time, therefore, because He is unchangeable (Malachi 3:6) He is trustworthy, and that, my friends, increases our human weaknesses because in Christ we can!! It sets our soul’s faith on fire to fulfill His individual and corporate mission with power within us for we are empowered by Him! It gives us security–because God cannot violate Himself.
- So, how is your faith? I didn’t ask you how was your faith, but how is your faith? Not yesterday, not last week, not last month, but right now! 2 Corinthians 5:7 “to walk by faith and not by sight.”
- Sister, brother are you being tested? If so, what are you doing about it? Choose Christ! Choose to cling to Him, even if you don’t see, understand, or even hear Him right now! He is there, working His plan out in and for you, for your best good! Trust Him! (Prov. 3:5-6; Eph. 2:10-18)
- What are you doing to prepare for your future? The testing(s) will come! Don’t wait until they arrive, prepare now!
