Sometimes in ministry you have some let downs. I had such a one recently. I was determined to not allow it to steal my obedience, love, and faithfulness to my Heavenly Father, but it was a challenge at times.
This morning, as I opened my Bible I was thinking about a passage someone shared with me the other day. They explained how the Lord had used it in their life and how the Lord gave them strength and spiritual encouragement through it. I was trying to remember the chapter. I thought it was Hebrews 15.
Well if you know your Bible you know there is no chapter 15 in Hebrews. I shrugged it off thinking I just heard the wrong chapter number.
Instead of going back to the book of the Bible I have been reading, I picked Hebrews 13.
I read the first verse and literally laughed out loud!
God has such a sense of humor. He knew exactly what I needed to hear.

“Let love of your fellow believers continue. Do not neglect to extend hospitality to strangers [especially among the family of believers—being friendly, cordial, and gracious, sharing the comforts of your home and doing your part generously], for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it. Remember those who are in prison, as if you were their fellow prisoner, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body [and subject to physical suffering]” Hebrews 13:1-3 {AMP}.
If you are discouraged or struggling with a let down — whether in the midst of the body of Christ or your sphere of those around you…know the Lord is with you and He sees. Run to Him in prayer. Run to His Word. Run and remember.
“Thank you Lord I am greatly humbled, shake in knowing You see me, You care for me in such great detail. You felt and understood my hearts ache. Oh Lord, thank you! Thank you for making me laugh and reminding me to remember; to shift my eyes to where they need to be….on YOU!”
In Christ I am SHE {Saved. Hopeful. Empowered.}
